If you haven’t done so already, you may want to compare the contributions shown on your statement with your record of contributions made on your behalf for all of 2017. The report includes a summary of the Fund’s finances as of December 31, 2017, information on membership and articles of interest, such as, an explanation of how the Fund works. Messages from the Chairman and Executive Director can also be found in the Report. The Annual Fund Report is available online.
Preparing for Retirement?If you’re getting ready to retire, you should plan on submitting your Pension Application at least three months before the date you want your pension to start. To request an application, complete a Request for Pension Application form online, print it, sign it and return it to the Fund Office. Or send an email requesting an application to Humbert Martins at humbert@mpfcanada.ca. It takes time to complete the paperwork, receive information about your payment options and to process your application. So don’t delay—request a Pension Application as soon as you know when you want to retire. |
