Have You Reviewed Your Annual Benefit Statement?
Your annual benefit statement is a valuable tool
that can help you plan for the future, so be sure to
look it over. If we have your address on file, your
statement was mailed to you in May.
What is an annual statement?
An Annual Statement is a summary of the individual
contributions made on your behalf for the year. It
also shows the total amount of contributions
remitted on your behalf to the end of the statement
year as well as your estimated monthly benefit
amount, at normal retirement age, if no other
contributions made on your behalf are received by
the Fund.
What is an annual statement?
Your pension statement can seem complicated but it's
an important summary with a few key bits of
information to look out for:
-
Your personal information that the Fund has on file for you such
as your name, address, SIN, sex, marital status and birth date.
Personal info, such as your birth date or marital status, can affect
the estimated benefit amount—so be sure it is correct!
-
To see what contributions have been made on your behalf over
the year and to check if any contributions that should have been
processed are missing.
-
Your rights regarding your potential benefits and the privacy of
your personal data.
Your statement is one tool the
MPF of Canada uses to ensure the
information we have for you is
accurate. If you think you’re missing
contributions or if your information
is incorrect on the statement,
please contact the Fund Office at
info@mpfcanada.ca or phone us
at 416-497-4702 or
Toll-Free at 1-888-462-6666.
